The Foshay exterior

I'm in the Twin Cities for a few days for the American Association of Museums conference. Already, I've had a great introduction to Minneapolis architecture
(this is the historic Foshay building, now a W hotel--an Art Deco classic). And, I've been schooled in what the locals call Minnesota "ice." Nice on the surface, but with a slight passive aggressive edge. I guess those long winters will do that to you...
