Al Fresco
Nothing like a little Roman buffet after a morning at the Vatican. St. Pete's is stunning as always, but I'd forgotten about the death march also known as the Vatican Museums. With it's new interior ticketing space, the piece of art one encounters first is a contemporary structure that looks like Ratzie emerging from a block of marble to bugger a teenager. I kid you not. I decided to call it The Rape of Pippin. Puts me in the mood for a nice chianti.
