Real Food

Made it to Hanoi. The hotel driver was forty minutes late, and once on
the road we found out why--just as nuts as Bangalore. Actually, the
old quarter traffic is even worse, and you can't walk on the sidewalks
because that's where everybody parks their bike and has lunch. More
traffic videos to come.

Anyway, the guide book recommended this one place--Cha Ca La Vong. The
old woman motioned us upstairs where we sat down and got the English
menu. It read:

"We serve one dish. Fish and noodles. 10,000 dong per person."

Fantastic. The fish comes frying in peanut oil on a charcoal pot, to
which they add fennel and dill. The noodles, peanuts, herbs and nuoc
mam come separately. The idea is to mix. Truly amazing.

So, was that breakfast, lunch, or dinner? What time zone is your body in? Can't wait to see the high res photos and movies.
