Shopping in Hoi An

Hoi An is a shopper's paradise, with numerous craft and souvenir
shops. But the city is best known for its silk, and the countless
tailors who will make garments to order. There are so many tailors, it
is difficult to choose one. Thankfully both our guidebook and our Kiwi
friends suggested Yaly--which costs a bit more but provides more of a
guarantee. Both Michael and I were fitted--him for a full silk suit
and several shirts, me for a Thai silk jacket and embroidered coat.
I've never had anyone take so many measurements of so many random
parts of my body...We go back tonight for our first fitting and the
lot will be ready by the day after tomorrow.

They also make shoes here to order...All so very tempting. Our next
challenge will be transporting all of our loot. We'll keep you posted
on that part.

Are you getting your suits sized for current measurements or after-eating-all-the-food-in-Thailand measurements?

Sending you both lots of love and holiday wishes. Love keeping up with your adventures. Keep them coming!
