Gobsmacked

The food court at department store Takashimaya is not for the weary. A football field-sized bounty of all things edible from everywhere. The Japanese confectionary, which occupies about a third of the space, blew my mind. So many varieties of sweets in so many shapes, formats, colors, applications--how could one even start to make a decision? The perfectly formed fruit was also a treat to see, including the $100 melon gift pack, for the person who has everything but pristine melon.
