Chittor Fort

We followed our guide book's suggestion and re-organized our itinerary to visit Chittor Fort, which was relatively easy for us to hit on the road to Udaipur. The fort is the largest in Asia and is home to a whopping 5,000 people. It's got temples (of the Hindu and Jain variety), towers, lakes, and castles. And it is mightily perched on a massive hill--180m above the surrounding plain. We're scratching our heads about how it ended up getting sacked three times in the same number of centuries.
