Menal temples

Sometimes a great taxi driver can make all the difference. A case in point, our small diversion to a complex of Shiva temples from the Gupta period, in a nondescript location en route to Udaipur by way of Chittor Fort. This is one of the things that continues to amaze us about India--there are ruins seemingly everywhere we look, temples and vestiges of forts scattered throughout the landscape.
