Well, we made it from Pushkar to Bundi after a fast and smooth ride with no traffic or livestock. No. I kid. It took over four hours, with all manner of construction vehicles, tractors, buses, cars, cycles, bikes, pedestrians, cows, goats and dogs, over roads that have tenderized my ass to a point where a less-than-scrupulous chef could pass it off as veal scallopine. Which sounds like a great idea (the scallopine part, not the ass or chefs parts). However, even the baby cows are off the menu here. I know. I asked.
But here we are in Bundi anyway, a city Rudyard Kipling described as "the work of goblins rather than of men." The picture is the view out the back of our hotel. Jeez but the property values around here.
Yet another good town for relaxing, but unlike Pushkar, if you've got the time, they have the beer.
